  • Internet Connection: The amount of data traffic, bandwidth, and volume used by Onboard Video Grid by Racing Metrics depends entirely on your internet connection and the number of live video streams you choose to display.

  • No Additional Load: Our tool does not add extra data overhead beyond what is required to load the website itself, stream and display YouTube videos.

Tracking and Data Collection

  • No Hidden Tracking: We do not track your browsing activity or monitor the specific content you watch.

  • Visitor Analytics:We only collect basic, anonymized visitor statistics to understand how many people use the tool.

  • YouTube API Usage: The tool uses the official YouTube API to retrieve video names from URLs. This API usage is logged for technical and operational reasons, but we do not collect or store any personally identifiable information related to your YouTube activity.

Help

Fullscreen Display Instructions

To optimize your experience with the onboard-video-grid tool, we recommend using fullscreen mode on (external) computer monitors.

The resolution and boundaries of the browser window may not always display optimally on external monitors or televisions.

Entering Fullscreen Mode
Press F11 on your keyboard to activate fullscreen in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.

Exiting Fullscreen Mode
Press the F11 key again or the Esc key, or move your cursor to the top center of the screen and click the "X" that appears.

Browser Compatibility
The tool has been tested and is compatible with the Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge browsers.

Main Controls:

  1. Expand/Collapse Input Boxes:
    Toggle the visibility of the six input boxes for YouTube URLs.

  2. Import URLs:
    Import previously exported YouTube URLs from a text file.

  3. Load Videos into Grid:
    Load all six YouTube videos at once into the video grid below the input fields.

  4. Play All Videos:
    Start playback for all loaded videos in the grid simultaneously.

  5. Set to Live View:
    Set all loaded videos to their live stream view. If a video is not live, playback will jump to the last available frame and end there.

  6. Mute/Unmute All:
    Mute or unmute all loaded videos together with a single click.

  7. Export URLs:
    Export the URLs currently in the input boxes by downloading a text file to your download folder. This file can be used with the import function (see point 2) to restore your URLs.

 

Individual Controls:

  1. Delete a URL
    Remove an existing YouTube URL from any input box. Paste a YouTube URL into an input box. The corresponding video title will be automatically displayed in the "Video Title" column.

  2. Load Video
    Load the individual YouTube URL into the video grid for display.

  3. Play & Pause Video
    Start or pause playback for the selected video in the grid.

  4. Mute & Unmute Video
    Mute or unmute the selected video individually.

  5. Video Title Display
    The video title is automatically loaded and shown when a valid YouTube URL is entered or pasted into an input box.

 

Additional:

  1. Toggle Background Color
    Switch the background color between light and dark themes for improved viewing comfort.

  2. Help Website Link
    Provides a direct link to the help website for further instructions and support.
